Asta, a natural fiber art doll by Atelier Björkåsa

Asta, a 45cm/ 17″ custom doll. She is still waiting for clothes, so I only wrapped her in a woollen blanket to keep her warm. Asta has to exercise patience because I am currently Berlin (my hometown) for work and meeting with theatre colleagues and won’t be back at my work table until next Friday.

I promised Asta’s new mama to pay Frau Tulpe a visit to buy a specific fabric that my customer had fallen in love with after having seen one of Kiki’s outfits. Now I have a good excuse to visit my favourite fabric store in Berlin Mitte, but it is some kind of a dangerous place for someone like me because as so often I might succumb the temptation to treat myself with quite a few yards of fabric to sew up some new summer skirts and dresses ;-)

Sending you bird twitter and a spring breeze from Berlin!

Oh, what a lovely surprise to hear from you, Twink! I will be in my old hood in Prenzlauer Berg most of the time next week and have a tight work schedule, but maybe we can meet for a cup of coffee if you too are in the area?
